Cramology is a revision app for medical students — lecture decks, high-yield summaries and a question bank. This policy explains exactly what the app stores about you and why.
Cramology is published by Idanite LLC ("we", "us"). The app is built for medical students revising from lecture material, and is distributed on Google Play and as a web app. Our contact address for anything in this policy is [email protected].
Cramology asks for an account so your revision progress follows you between your phone and your laptop. That account is the only reason we hold personal data at all.

We do not collect your name, phone number, contacts, precise location, health records, or payment details. Camera, microphone, and photo-library access occur only after you choose the related note or profile action. Cramology contains no advertising and no third-party advertising or tracking SDKs.
Every item above exists for one of three reasons, and nothing is collected "just in case":
We do not build advertising profiles, and we do not use your data to make automated decisions about you.
Study Circle lets you share notes with other students using Cramology. Anything you post there is visible to other users of the app, so treat it as public to your classmates rather than private.
Do not post patient information in Study Circle. Real clinical details about an identifiable person do not belong in a study app, and posts that contain them will be removed.
You can delete your own posts from within the app. You can also report content that breaches this rule to [email protected], and we will review it.
Cramology can explain a lecture slide in plain language when you ask it to. When you tap that button, the text and figure caption of the slide you are viewing are sent to our AI model provider so it can generate the explanation, along with your request. Your email address and account identifiers are not sent with it, and the feature is not used to build a profile of you. If you never tap it, nothing is sent.
We keep the list of third parties deliberately short. Each one processes data only to run the service:

These providers operate servers outside Iraq, so your account data is stored and processed abroad. All traffic between the app and our servers is encrypted in transit using HTTPS/TLS.
Your account data is kept for as long as your account is open, because it is what your revision history is made of. Deleting your account removes it as described below. Content you posted to Study Circle may remain visible where other students have replied to it, unless you delete the post or ask us to.
You can ask for your Cramology account and everything attached to it to be deleted, at any time, without giving a reason.
Email [email protected] from the address you signed up with, with the subject line Delete my account. We will confirm and complete the deletion within 30 days.
Your email address, credentials, study year and subject choices, revision progress and question history are erased permanently. Study Circle posts you have made are removed or detached from your account, at your choice — say which in your email.
We keep nothing after deletion except where the law requires it. Backups are cycled out within 30 days of deletion.
You also have the right to ask us for a copy of the data we hold about you, and to ask us to correct anything inaccurate. Use the same address.
Cramology is made for medical students and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly create accounts for anyone under 18. If you believe a child has an account, write to us and we will remove it.
Accounts are protected by password authentication with email verification, and access to the database is restricted by per-user access rules so one student cannot read another student's progress. Traffic is encrypted with TLS. No system is perfect, so if we ever discover a breach affecting your data, we will tell affected users by email.
If we change what the app collects, we will update this page and move the effective date at the top. Material changes — a new category of data, or a new provider receiving it — will also be announced in the app before they take effect.
